I was born in El Paso, Texas, but I was raised in Greenville, Pennsylvania. I spent a lot of my summers traveling to Texas. I grew up having a mom who was a teacher's aid. She worked in a special education classroom that I spent a lot of time in after school. Throughout high school, I participated as a big buddy in the little buddy program to help at risk students. These experiences are what made me want to become a teacher. When I got to college, I became an intern for Mercer United Way for their Success by Six program. This made my dream of being a teacher come to life. I am a double major in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with an individualized minor in Middle Level Science Education with a GPA of 3.9. I am in the Dietrich Honors Program and part of their executive student board, Kappa Delta Pi education honors program, Chi Alpha Sigma athletic honors program, and represented the cross country team for Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

Cross CountryThroughout my Thiel College career, I participated on the Cross Country team. I have been the girls' team captain for two years in a row. Cross country has been part of my life since seventh grade. I was on the the varsity team throughout all of high school and college. Cross Country has helped me stay organized with my academics, so I keep good grades to stay eligible to compete. I have been inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma athletics honors society for having a GPA above 3.5. Cross Country has helped me become a leader by guiding the underclassman in the right direction to not only better themselves as runners, but to be the best in the classroom. I may not have been the fastest on the team, but it has never stopped me from encouraging my teammates to be even better.
