Gifted Education
For my senior honor's thesis, I chose to write it on gifted education because I did not have a good knowledge base on how to enrich a gifted child's education. Almost every child identified as gifted is in a regular education classroom. Gifted education has been underrepresented in many schools. My research focused on four specific topics. The first one I researched was on how teachers can gain an education on enriching gifted students. Next, I discuss grants that can be applied for to help schools gain funding that will help them create a gifted program in the schools. After discussing the how, I begin to give specific examples of programs and strategies that schools can implement into their gifted programs. Finally, I show schools in the Pennsylvania area that have known gifted programs that excel. By writing this thesis, I hope to bring knowledge to educators about the needs of gifted students and how we can help enrich their education to enhance their gifts and talents.

Conduct Disorder
In my Emotional and Behavioral Support class, I chose to do my research paper on Conduct Disorder. We had to focus on what are the requirements/symptoms of conduct disorder. This allowed me to be aware of what I may see in the classroom. We also had to discuss assessing the students behaviors and how these assessments will tailor the student's behavioral plan. Finally, I had to provide examples of interventions for students who may be diagnosed with conduct disorder.
Responsive Classroom
My freshman year I did a research paper on the responsive classroom. I visited four different fifth grade classrooms. I researched other classroom models to compare them. I decided this one I would put my main focus on. I presented my findings to my honors class and even taught a lesson using the learner-centered class and teacher-centered class.
